Our Government in Action

Members of the League of Women Voters of Chester County  (third from Left), Carole Mackrell, Dr. Pamela Gray and Lorrie Maples, welcomed participants to the recent “Our Government in Action” event at the Chester County Government Services Center. The day-long event provided residents an opportunity to learn about row offices from Prothonatory Matt Holliday and Clerk of Courts Robin Marcello, as well as getting an update on activities from County Commissioners Michelle Kichline, Kathi Cozzone and Terrence Farrell. Participants also had an opportunity to hear from West Chester Mayor Jordan Norley, and State Representatives Carolyn Comitta and Eric Roe.

The League’s next event will be its third Criminal Justice Conference, 6 p.m. November 9th, at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in West Chester. Keynote speaker will be John Wetzel,  secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. The conference is being co-sponsored by JusticeRains, Inc. The conference is free and open to the public.  A free will offering will be taken.
