Following a buffet luncheon, the League of Women Voters of Chester County held its 2017 Annual Meeting at the West Chester Golf and Country Club, inducting officers and board members for 2017-18. Those inducted included (seated from left) Alma Forsyth, director, Jennifer Levy-Tatum, Esq. president, Dr. Pamela Gray, first vice-president, and standing (from left) Keisha Hudson, Carole Mackrell, treasurer, Tam Williams, Mary Lou Dondero, voters service chair, Lorrie Maples, director, Valerie Thomas, secretary, Laraine Delsinger, Bob Hall, Sarah Casper, and Marta Selke. Also inducted (not pictured) were Barbara Lathroum, second vice-president, and Meryle Rothman, membership chair. Mrs. Forsyth and Mrs. Dondero were recognized for over 50 years of LWV membership. Ms. Hudson is Deputy Chief Public Defender from Montgomery County. Tom Hogan, Chester County District Attorney, gave a brief update on the opioid problem, prior to Olivia Thorne and Heidi Gold from Delaware County LWV giving a power point presentation, “League 101.”
