The League needs your thoughts and opinions to form a Policy Statement on the Federal Judiciary. We have scheduled 2 meetings for this purpose. Both will include the same information so choose the day and time that is best for you and your schedule.
Saturday March 22, George Fox Room, Crosslands, 1660 Street Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348 www.kendal-crosslands.org 10:00am to noon.
Tuesday, March 25, Burke Meeting Room, Chester County Library 450 Exton Square Parkway, Exton, PA 19341 www.ccls.org 6:00pm – 7:30pm
In order to prepare please click on the link https://www.lwv.org/league-management/advocacy-litigation/2024-2025-federal-judiciary-study-process-committee-and. Scroll down to Policy Briefs. It is probably not necessary for you to read all of these. Pick out ones most interesting to you to give you background on terms and practices current to the judiciary. Then go down to Online Webinars and Events. Under the first Recording is a link to “Watch the Town Hall.” This is probably the best way to start briefing yourself for the discussions. It covers many of the policy briefs as well as giving pros and cons to various suggestions for improvement.
Start on your education materials and come to give us your thoughts. Hope to see you at one of the meetings. Remember: Democracy is not a spectator sport.
