Bills to Reduce Size of Legislature Pass PA House

The PA House of Representatives has passed and sent to the PA Senate HB 1234 and HB 1716, which reduce the size of the House and Senate respectively – the House from 203 to 153 and the Senate from 50 to 28. Republicans supported HB 1234 overwhelmingly with only four voting against it and one not voting. The Democrats split with 44 voting yes, 45 voting no and three not voting.
