More news for Chester County voters – the announced retirements of Senator Michael Brubaker and Representative Chris Ross, and the establishment of a new legislative district – the 74th. The new district was needed due to population changes in the state and will include Coatesville and Downingtown as well as the townships of Caln, East Caln, East Fallowfield, Modena, Parkesburg, South Coatesville, Sadsbury and Valley. Three area residents have already announced their candidacy for the new seat.
Announcing for the 158th district is our own Susan Rzucidlo. The newly redrawn district includes municipalities of London Britain, New Garden, East Marlborough, West Marlborough, Newlin, East Bradford, West Bradford and parts of West Goshen.
With the new districts now in place, it is the perfect time to register our eligible high school seniors so they will be ready for the Primary Election on May 20. Registration for this election closes on April 21. If you would like to spend an hour or two at one of our county public or private schools – please let me know. Thank you, Mary Lou Dondero
